TRUNKEL THROWS NO-HITTER

Cain Trunkel (U.W. Stevens Point) threw a no-hitter last night as the Marshfield Chaparrals shut out the Abbotsford Merchants 12-0. The Chaparrals scored 7 runs in the first two innings and added 5 more in the 5th for the win. Trunkel faced just 24 batters in the contest, he struck out 8 and walked three in the 7 inning no-hitter. Justin Rayburn went 3 for 3 with 2 RBI's and 3 runs scored. Casey Krohn was 2 for 2 with 2 runs scored and Cole Tysver was 2 for 3. The Chaparrals improved to 10-4 on the season while Abbotsford fell to 6-3.
