The Neillsville Police Department is encouraging people to make sure their car doors are locked after a rash of thefts on the city’s north side.

Police Chief Brad Lindner says around eight unlocked vehicles were entered in the past week. GPS units, stereos and other miscellaneous items were stolen.

Police are also investigating the recent break-in of the Green Lantern tavern, on West 7th Street. It’s still unclear what was taken.

They believe these incidents may be related. They likely happened in the early morning hours.

Make sure your car doors are locked, and report any suspicious activity to police.
