PLANS FOR PERSIAN GULF TRIBUTE MOVE FORWARD

 Design in hand, The Highground’s Persian Gulf Committee is now in the fundraising phase of their effort to honor the veterans of the country’s most recent wars.
The committee recently selected a tribute entitled “The Bootprint Design,” submitted by Hortonville, Wisconsin-based Blue Design Group. The tribute will honor those that served in Desert Storm, Desert Shield, Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and the Global War on Terrorism.
The group unveiled the design over the weekend.
The design, in the shape of a bootprint, will have 3 statues of military personnel and perennial flower beds. It’s proposed to be placed in a location where it can be seen from the highest point at the Memorial.
