UPDATE: NEILLSVILLE MAN CRITICAL AFTER MOTORCYCLIST ACCIDENT

A Neillsville man is in critical condition after a motorcycle accident on Saturday.
The accident happened at around 3 p.m. on CTH B in the Town of Hewett.
According to accident reports, 57-year-old Gary Lavene was airlifted from the scene after he was thrown from the motorcycle he was operating.
A witness told authorities Lavene swerved to avoid a deer and then lost control of the machine.
Lavene remains in critical condition at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.
