BUSY AFTERNOON FOR NEILLSVILLE F.D.

The Neillsville Fire Department responded to two incidents in about one hour yesterday afternoon.
According to Fire Chief Matt Meyer, the first call came in at around 3:30 p.m. It was a report of a mini van on fire at W5836 Maple Road in the Town of Pine Valley.
The crew was able to contain the fire to the engine compartment. They spent around 20 minutes on the scene.
Then, at 4:26 p.m., the crew was called to the scene of a one-vehicle rollover at the corner of STH 73 and Struble Road, just south of Neillsville.
Upon arrival, the crew found a convertible lying on its side in the ditch. The woman was wearing her seatbelt and wasn’t ejected.
The crew spent around 20 minutes freeing the woman from the vehicle. She was transported to Memorial Medical Center in Neillsville with unknown injuries.
