HIGHGROUND HOLDS HELICOPTER EXPO

A large crowd was on hand at The Highground Saturday to see the helicopter and the military vehicles that were on display. The Highground brought the helicopter and military vehicles to its park as part of its mission of healing and education.
The Highground would like to thank Jim Ottman for bringing in the helicopter from the VVA Chapter 331 of River Falls as well as Bill Baker and JT Bonner for assisting Jim. Thanks to SFC Todd Smrz of the F Co 132nd BSB for supplying a troop cargo hauler, an armored HMV and a command vehicle driven by Sgt. Kelly Kaufman, SPC Casondra Brahmer and SPC Dana Elmhorst. Kerry Johnson, Alan Nelson of Ellsworth, Scott Katcher and Ernst Hediger of Neillsville and Donald Anibas of Durand brought cargo trucks, a 1952 M38 with an M100 trailer and two M35A2 military vehicles to be displayed. The Helicopter Expo was a great success because of your help.
A special thank you to Monica ‘lil sis’ Harvey for bringing to The Highground her Veterans Music Ministry. She presented Bandaid for the Heart medals to veterans and sang patriotic and inspirational songs to those in attendance.
A good day was had by all. The Highground is a place for all of us.
