Sunday, May 8th, 2011 -- 9:54 am
Posted by Riley Hebert-News Director

Clark County will have 10 new warning sirens by mid summer. Emergency Management Director Michelle Hartness has secured some grant money to purchase ten new sirens. Some of the sirens will replace old, ineffective alarms. There will also be new sirens place at Russell Park in Hatfield and at Rock Dam - both popular camping sites have been without a means to warn visitors of incoming severe weather. Other communities getting sirens include Loyal, Greenwood, Willard, Owen, Abbotsford, Thorp and Humbird. Hartness expects them to be installed in about 8 weeks.
