BURNING PERMITS A CLICK AWAY

Residents in Wisconsin can can get burning permits on-line or by phone.
The Department of Natural Resources now has a toll free number (1-888-WIS-BURN), which can be dialed between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. daily. DNR employees can issue the permit over the phone and it will be delivered either by e-mail or traditional mail.
Permits are also now available on the DNR's website. And they're still available through local ranger stations and fire wardens.
All permits are free and good for one calendar year.
