LOCALS COMPETE AT OPTIMIST CLUB STATE TRI-STAR COMPETITION

The "Optimist Club of Neillsville" was proudly represented by four local youth at the state "Tri-Star Basketball" competition held on Saturday, April 16th in Fon du Lac. Boys and girls from all over the state of Wisconsin competed in the basketball skills event. In the girls competition, Catrina Craig, daughter of Paul and Callie Craig placed 6th in the 8 year old competition. In the 9 year old bracket Tara Jiskra, daughter of Mark and Jillaine Jiskra finished in 7th place while in the 10 year old competition Bailey Schumacher daughter of Ron & Lydia Schumacher took home a ribbon for 9th place. In the boys competition, Brett Loveland, son of Jodi Koepp and Christopher Loveland had an outstanding preformance as he garnered third place honors. The Neillsville Optimist Club would like to congratulate the athletes and thank them for representing our local club with such skill and sportsmanship.
