SEX OFFENDER TO BE RELEASED IN CLARK CO.

The Clark County Sheriff’s Department is alerting the public that a sex offender is being released to the area.

29-year-old Matthew Kohl has completed a prison sentence for second degree sexual assault of a child, substantial battery (PTAC), intimidating victim/threaten force (PTAC). His victims were a pubescent female and pre-pubescent female known to him.

His criminal history places him in a classification level which reflects the potential to re-offend.

Kohl has served his sentence and was eligible for release on Tuesday. However, Mr. Kohl has not a found a suitable residence to reside in; therefore, he will remain in the custody of the Clark County Jail pending his ability to find a residence. While residing at the Clark County Jail Mr. Kohl will be allowed to leave the jail accompanied by State of Wisconsin Department of Corrections staff in an attempt to locate an adequate residence or employment.
