ELECTION RESULTS -- SCHOOLS

Some area school boards will have new faces after yesterday’s elections.
In Granton, 4 candidates were vying for two open seats. John Richmond and Doug Eichten received the most votes—289 and 222, respectively—defeating Terry Foss and Omar Young, who garnered 179 and 123 votes.
In the Loyal School District, Tom Odeen defeated Rick Rueth 476-416 for the right to represent the area of the district south of STH 98.
Spencer School District voters said “yes” to a 5-year, $676,000 revenue cap exemption referendum. The final tally was 903-687.
