GAS PRICES UP 25% FROM LAST YEAR

Gas prices continue their upward push.

After a bit of a reprieve due to the earthquake in Japan, further turmoil in Libya and the Middle East has pushed oil prices higher, and the price at the pump is following suit.

According to Wisconsin Gas Prices.com, the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded is around $3.56 today. That’s as high as it’s been since the fall of 2008.

The line graphs aren’t pretty to look at. They show a steep increase over the past month. On this day in February, gas was only $3.18 per gallon. The price has shot up nearly 25% since March of last year.
