FORMER AG TEACHER, WMMB REPRESENTATIVE PASSES

A former central Wisconsin agriculture teacher and regional program manager for the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board's Dairy Council has lost a year-long battle with cancer.
Michelle Mielke of Colby passed away Sunday at the age of 49.
Mielke was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. Prior to her job at WMMB, she worked as an ag instructor for Eau Claire Memorial and Colby High School and later became a horticulture agent and family nutrition educator for the Marathon County UW-Extension.
Michelle was a leader for Cherokee Chums 4-H Club and was a judge for various county fairs.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on March 25 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in the town of Eau Pleine.
Mielke was a frequent guest on our radio station.
