ACCIDENT NEAR HIXTON SENDS 2 TO HOSPITAL

An early morning accident near Hixton sent two people to the hospital; one of the injured was in critical condition.
According to the State Patrol, the accident happened early Wednesday morning on I-94. A semi left the travel lane of I-94 and struck a disabled semi that was parked on the shoulder at mile post 96 in Jackson County. Both semi drivers were injured and transported to a local hospital.
23-year-old Jason Boerjan of Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota was transported to Luther Hospital in Eau Claire with life-threatening injuries.
