GRANTON MAN DIES IN NEILLSVILLE ACCIDENT

A Granton area man is dead after a pick-up vs. logging truck accident on USH 10 yesterday afternoon.
According to Neillsville Police Chief Brad Lindner, the driver of the pick-up was heading east on 10 when he swerved onto the westbound shoulder, then veered back toward the eastbound land, striking the logging truck.
The accident happened at around 1:40 p.m. near the intersection of USH 10 and Fairgrounds Avenue.
Lindner says bystanders performed CPR and the man was transported, but he died at the hospital.
The logging truck driver sought medical attention for a minor wrist injury.
The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family members. An autopsy is scheduled for today.
