VEHICLE REGISTRATIONS HIGHER THAN EVER

If the roads seem a bit more crowded than ever before, there’s a reason for that. Despite a tight economy, there are more vehicles registered in Wisconsin than ever before, but just barely. According to the Division of Motor Vehicles, total vehicle registrations are up 8,670, about 16-hundredths of a percent, to nearly 5.5 million (5,482,518, to be exact). That includes 2.3 million autos, 1.3 million SUVs and vans registered as autos, nearly 900,000 light trucks, 333,000 cycles, and 267 low-speed vehicles.
