Tuesday, January 11th, 2011 -- 11:32 am
Posted by Riley Hebert-News Director

Four fire departments were called to the scene of a barn fire just outside of Greenwood Tuesday morning.

The fire was located on CTH G between School Road and Sydney Avenue and was reported at around 11:20 a.m.

Fire Chief Tom Abel says the fire may have been caused by a wood stove in the building. The barn was used to house chickens. Some were lost in the fire.

The crews were able to save a portion of the structure.

The Greenwood Fire Department received tanker assistance from Neillsville and Owen and a full response from Loyal.
