Wednesday, January 5th, 2011 -- 11:26 am Posted by Riley Hebert-News Director
A 46-year-old Glidden man, wanted for attempted homicide and said to possibly be armed and dangerous, was arrested yesterday outside of Greenwood.
Sheriff’s officials says they received a tip from the Ashland County Sheriff’s Department Tuesday that Steven Thorson was working with a construction company at Grassland Dairy Products.
Authorities quickly went there and apprehended Thorson without incident at around 4 p.m.
Chief Deputy Jim Backus says Thorson is facing charges of attempted homicide, reckless endangerment, strangulation/suffocation, false imprisonment and 2nd-degree sexual assault. No details of the alleged incident are available.
Backus says Ashland County authorities drove down Tuesday night and took custody of the man.
