NEILLSVILLE BOYS AND GIRLS GET WINS

The Neillsville boys basketball team gets 24 points from Tyler Ehlen to down Colby, while the Neillsville girls stay unbeaten with a win over LaCrosse Aquinas. The Neillsville boys team made things a little closer atop the Eastern Cloverbelt with their 51-36 win over the Colby Hornets. Colby (4-1) came in on top of the conference but now find themselves behind Mfld Columbus who is 6-1. Augusta and Greenwood are right behind at 5-2. Neillsville improved to 3-4 in the conference, 3-6 overall.
On the girls side, Neillsville improved to 7-0 with a 51-25 win over LaCrosse Aquinas on Tuesday night. With the score 17-11 at the half, Neillsville came out in the 3rd quarter with a smothering defense and outscored the Blugolds 17-2 in the quarter to break the game open. Neillsville was led by Jenny Lindner with 20 points.
