No news is good news for the Neillsville American Legion.

As we’ve reported, the group went to the City of Neillsville for financial help fearing they may lose their new legion hall unless they found a partner by the end of the year.

American Legion Commander Clem Schultz says the Legion remains up-to-date with their loan payments. According to past reports, the Legion is currently making interest-only payments on their roughly $570,000 in bank debt. Schultz says the group has maintained contact with their four lenders and no changes to those arrangements have been made.
