A 32-year-old Alma Center woman pleaded “no contest” this week for her role in an armed robbery in Neillsville in June.

A 29-year-old man also implicated in the heist has already pleaded guilty to a charge of armed robbery with the use of force.

According to past reports, Desiree Johnson and Justin Farmer broke into the home on 14th street looking for, among other things, prescription drugs.

Farmer used duct tape to tie up two of the home’s occupants; he was arrested at the scene. Johnson fled and was apprehended later in the day.

On Wednesday, Johnson was convicted of a charge of armed robbery with the use of force. 3 other charges were dismissed, but can be considered during sentencing.

The Department of Corrections is preparing a pre-sentence investigation to aide in the sentencing process. Farmer will be sentenced in February. No sentencing date has been set for Johnson.
