A Texas-based company has purchased the Wick Building Center plant.

The Marshfield NewsHerald reports Houston-based Carbo Ceramics bid $4.2-million and won an auction on the 38.6 acre property and 400,000-square-foot building. The sale was finalized Tuesday.

Carbo isn’t commenting on what they hope to do with the facility. They make ceramic pebbles called proppants for the oil and natural gas industries.
