POVERTY UP IN WISCONSIN

Clark County has the 19th highest poverty rate in the state.
New data shows the majority of Wisconsin counties saw their poverty rates increase by more than 10% since 2000.
There are now 10 counties with poverty rates higher than 15%, up from only two just ten years ago.
Menominee County in northeaster Wisconsin had the state’s highest poverty rate at 29%. Waukesha and Ozaukee have the lowest at 4.1%.
Meanwhile, date indicated about 12.7% of Clark County residents are impoverished.
Overall, Wisconsin's poverty rate is 11.1%, up from 8.7% as recorded in 2000.
