MARSHFIELD UNITED WAY BEHIND IN FUNDRAISING

The Marshfield Area United Way is well behind last year’s fundraising pace.
The organization says the campaign has reached a critical point with current donations lagging last year by $23,000.
Plus, there are still $117,000 in outstanding contributions that staff and volunteers are working to collect before the end of the year. That total is made up of businesses and individuals that gave last year, but have not given yet this year.
Fundraisers say there is more need then ever, so it’s imperative groups like the United Way are able to help those struggling with having the necessities of shelter, food and clothing.
