WOMAN DIES IN WOOD CO. CRASH

A 38-year-old Vesper woman died after a traffic crash in Wood County yesterday afternoon. According to a press release, Jane Kangas was operating a mini-van that collided with a semi driven by 60-year-old Joseph Deno of Green Bay. The accident happened at around 4 p.m. on STH 13, in the Town of Seneca. Kangas was trapped in the vehicle. She was extricated and transferred to Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids, where she later died. Deno was not injured in the collision. The accident remains under investigation.
