Are area gas prices going to reach $3 per gallon for the first time since May?
The average price of regular fuel is $2.95 per gallon in Wisconsin. It's jumped around .10-cents in the past week, according to www.wisconsingasprices.com.
Prices in all of the metro areas of Wisconsin are above the national average price of about $2.86 per gallon.
Experts note the price of a barrel of crude is approaching $90 as investors are speculating in oil as a hedge against possible inflation and the weakening of U.S. dollar.
