Monday, November 8th, 2010 -- 2:23 pm Posted by Riley Hebert-News Director
An area Republican has been named the Wisconsin Assembly Majority Leader.
42-year-old Scott Suder of Abbostford was first elected to the Assembly in 1998. He ran unopposed in last week’s election.
He beat out Rep. Mark Gottlieb of Port Washington for the majority leader spot during the Republican Caucus on Monday.
Suder will work with Assembly Speaker-elect Jeff Fitzgerald to direct and coordinate legislative activities during the next session.
