KIND GETS NRA ENDORSEMENT

The campaign of a Republican challenger to longtime Congressman Ron Kind was dealt a blow Thursday.
The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund, which usually backs Republican candidates, endorsed Kind for re-election over challenger Dan Kapanke.
In making the announcement, Kind’s campaign noted the La Crosse Democrat’s Firearms Excise Tax Improvement Act was signed into law in August. Rep. Kind is also a former co-chair and active member of the Congressional Sportsmen's Caucus in the House of Representatives.
