SHOTS FIRED IN VACINITY OF POWER LINE WORKERS

Construction of the controversial Arrowhead to Weston power line is off to a rocky start. Surveyors in Marathon County have endured verbal threats and even gunshots as they prepare for construction of the line. The Marathon County Sheriff's Department reports an unidentified man on an ATV approached the workers near Edgar on Tuesday. He allegedly fired four shots in the air. Deputies do not know the identity of the man and still are investigating the incident. Crews started surveying land for the power line earlier this month in Marathon County, and soon will begin clearing trees and digging holes for the power line's poles.
