BLACK RIVER IN NEILLSVILLE EXPECTED TO CREST ABOVE FLOOD STAGE

The Black River in Neillsville is expected to crest well above flood stage early Friday morning.

According to data from the National Weather Service in La Crosse, the Black River at Neillsville was at 5' last night. It was measured at almost 16' feet this morning at 9 a.m.

It is expected to crest at 21' at around 1 a.m. on Friday morning. That would be three feet above flood stage (18') and the highest crest recorded since 1943 (22.49').
