WITKUS SENTENCED TO 3 YRS IN PRISON

A Marshfield man will go to prison for a crash last year that took the life of an infant who was riding in a buggy.

Brian Witkus of Marshfield will spend three-and-half years in prison and five years on extended supervision.

According to reports, he pleaded guilty to a charge of homicide by negligent use of a vehicle in May.

Witkus says he accidentally hit an Amish buggy in Marshfield last August while reaching for a book. The little girl was thrown from the buggy.
