ROCK JUMPS IN WORLD RANKINGS

Buoyed by his run at the World Championships, Andrew Rock has skyrocketed in the latest International Association of Athletics Associations track and field rankings.
The 2000 graduate of Stratford high school has moved from 17th to 4th in the latest IAAF world rankings released this week.
Rock won the silver medal in the 400-meter dash during the World Track and Field Championships in Helsinki, Finland last Friday. The World Championships are held every other year and are considered the second most prestigious track meet aside from the Olympics.
Rock’s time of 44.35-seconds is the 4th fastest time in the World this year.
