NORTH WINS NORTHWOODS LEAGUE ALL STAR GAME

Cody Asche of the Duluth Huskies collected a pair of hits, including a two-run home run to help the North Division beat the South 7-5 in the 2010 Northwoods League All-Star Game last night. The 2010 Northwoods Home Run Derby was also last night at Carson Park. The Home Run Derby consisted of eight players across the Northwoods League and was headlined by 2009 winner Harold Riggins (NC State) of the Madison Mallards. Duluth Huskie Mark Threlkeld won the 2010 Home Run Derby over Madison Mallard Kyle Gaedele (Valparaiso).
After an off day today, the Northwoods League resumes regular play tomorrow. The South Division leading Eau Claire Express will travel to Madison to face the Mallards.
