OPELT COMPETING AT NATIONALS IN FARGO

Phillip Opelt of Neillsville is competing at the ASICS/Vaughan Junior Nationals and the Cadet Nationals at the FargoDome in Fargo, N.D. Phillip just completed the Greco portion of the Nationals where he finished 2-2 at 98 pounds. He will now compete in the Freestyle portion of the competition starting on Wednesday. He will be wrestling at 105 pounds for Freestyle. This competition produces great stories of champions, many who go on to glory in college wrestling, and ultimately at the World and Olympic levels. This marks the 40th anniversary of the Junior Nationals event, which was first held in 1971 in Iowa City, Iowa. USA Wrestling is pleased to announce its 2010 Cadet & Junior Nationals webcast schedule for the upcoming tournament in Fargo, N.D. In all, 16 sessions will be webcast from the Fargodome in Fargo, N.D., including all five national championship finals. Fans can watch the feed on the main page of TheMat.com
