ASICS/VAUGHAN JUNIOR NATIONALS AND THE CADET NATIONALS START THIS SUNDAY IN FARGO

Every year, the nation’s best young wrestlers come together for the world’s largest wrestling competition, the ASICS/Vaughan Junior Nationals and the Cadet Nationals at the FargoDome in Fargo, N.D. This year’s tournament is scheduled for this Sunday thru next Saturday and is expected to feature outstanding wrestlers in every weight class. This competition produces great stories of champions, many who go on to glory in college wrestling, and ultimately at the World and Olympic levels. This marks the 40th anniversary of the Junior Nationals event, which was first held in 1971 in Iowa City, Iowa. Phillip Opelt of Neillsville will be competing at 98 pounds. schedule for the upcoming tournament in Fargo, N.D. In all, 16 sessions will be webcast from the Fargodome in Fargo, N.D., including all five national championship finals. Fans can watch the feed on the main page of TheMat.com
