MARSHFIELD FIRE STATION AHEAD OF SCHEDULE

The Marshfield Fire Department will move into their new station earlier than expected.
Officials hoped the new building would be open by August, but now, moving day is scheduled for July 23.
New furniture is arriving today.
According to the Marshfield NewsHerald, the crew has been volunteering time to catalog some historic artifacts from the old station. Deputy Fire Chief Ed Erickson used the holiday weekend to restore the city hall fire bell used from 1901 to 1946.
The open house is scheduled for Sept. 11.
