DOG KILLED AFTER VICIOUS ATTACK

A 5-year-old Spencer girl was seriously injured after being attacked by a rottweiler.
According to the Marshfield Police Department, the dog attacked the girl at around 10 p.m. last night in the 500 block of 5th Street.
Neighbors and officers were able to pull the dog from the girl momentarily, but the dog immediately attacked her again. Officer had no other recourse but to kill the animal.
The dog also bit the girl’s 33-year-old father and the 21-year-old caretaker of the animal.
All three are being treated.
