INDERBERG A FREE MAN

With little fanfare, a former Clark County Bar Association President and Neillsville City Attorney was released from prison a few months ago.

On-line court records show Trygve Inderberg was released on parole in February and is now residing in La Crosse. He was convicted in 2001 of charges he bilked elderly clients of over $400,000.

He began serving an 18-year prison sentence in September of 2001, but seeing the offenses took place before Wisconsin's Truth In Sentencing law went into effect, he was eligible for parole.

Before going to prison, Inderberg was granted voluntary revocation of his law license after admitting he could not successfully defend against allegations that he gave himself substantial gifts while serving as power of attorney for a client, that he commingled personal funds with client funds in his trust account and failed to promptly deliver funds held in trust to the person entitled to receive them.

Probation and Parole documents show a different spelling of his last name—instead of Inderberg, he’s now listed as Indersberg.

Barring violations, Indersberg will be released from Active Community Supervision in 2013.
