WIS 13 IMPROVEMENTS MOVED UP

Improvements to STH 13 near Spencer are being put on the fast track.
Senator Pat Kreitlow (D-Chippewa Falls) and Representative Scott Suder (R-Abbotsford) said yesterday the DOT has moved the $12-million project up to 2011.
According to the DOT, the reconstruction of approximately 4.5 miles of WIS 13 between Twenty-Sixt Road, and WIS 98 and the reconstruction of approximately 2.1 miles of side roads, will start in spring 2011 and will be completed in fall 2011.
The improvements had previously been scheduled to occur in two separate construction seasons. Recent contract savings provided an opportunity to address the pavement needs of the highway while minimizing impacts to motorists and local communities.
