A Thorp man has been convicted of voter fraud; it’s believed to be the first case of voter fraud prosecuted in Clark County.

Daniel Bohl, 47, was a convicted felon on probation when he cast his ballot in the April 2009 election.

District Attorney Darwin Zwieg filed fraud charges after receiving a report from the Government Accountability Board, stating Bohl’s name appeared on both a list of people who voted during the election, and who were felons still on probation.

Bohl pleaded no contest to the charge, which is also a felony.

He received a $350 fine and must pay court costs.
