It looks like a 47-year-old Loyal man will avoid a trial on an arson charge.

According to the criminal complaint, Timothy Olson set fire to the home on USH 10, just outside the Granton village limits to get insurance money that would allow the couple to move in together.

A plea hearing is set for August 10th in Clark County Circuit Court.

Arson with Intent to Defraud carries a maximum penalty of 40 years in prison and $100,000 in fines.
