The Listeman Foundation continues to help the City of Neillsville.

Last week, the City Council appropriated thousands of dollars of donations from the non-profit group.

$2,000 was designated for Heritage Days; $2,000 was designated for fireworks, and $7,300 will go to the Parks and Recreation department for fencing at the tennis courts, trail signs at the arboretum and wiring for the O’Neill Creek fountain.

The council also received two more $50,000 payments from the foundation. Listeman had pledged $150,000 to help get Fabricating Specialists off the ground back in 2008.
At last check, that business had about 14 full-time employees, but hoped to add more jobs this year.
