MASHIN LEADS NEILLSVILLE OVER GRANTON

Chris Mashin provided the game winning RBI single in the bottom of the 7th yesterday as Neillsville downed Granton 5-4 in Cloverbelt baseball action. Mashin also had an RBI single in the 6th inning to bring Neillsville (4-6, 4-4) to within one run before Neillsville plated two runs in the bottom of the seventh for the win. Cain Trunkel picked up the win, going the distance giving up 7 hits while striking out 10 and walking 4. Dustin Dix took the loss going the distance for Granton (6-4, 5-3) giving up 7 hits, striking out 8 and walking 3. Neillsville will host Spencer on Thursday while Granton hosts Greenwood.
