GIRLS FASTPITCH SOFTBALL CLINIC TO BE HELD IN NEILLSVILLE

The Neillsville Rec. Department is sponsoring a youth Fastpitch Softball Clinic for girls in grades 4 - 8 on Saturday and Sunday, May 15th and 16th at the Neillsville School. Ms. Ashley Edgington will be the lead instructor with assistance from members of the Neillsville Varsity softball team. Saturday's agenda from 8:30 to 2:30 will focus on the defensive side of the ball and offensive mechanics of a proper swing, bunting and slapping. From 2:30 to 5 pm on Saturday, players will be instructed on the proper techniques to become a successful pitcher or catcher. On Sunday from noon to 2 pm participating members of the clinic will review concepts taught earlier and focus on situational play and from 2 - 5 pm the players will be divided into teams and scrimmage for fun. Fee for the camp is $20, each camper will receive a camp t-shirt. Registration deadline is May 1st. Forms available in the Middle School office. For more info call the Neillsville Rec.
