ONE DEAD IN ROLLOVER NEAR GRANTON

 A traffic accident near Granton has claimed a life.
According to the Clark County Sheriff’s Department, the one vehicle rollover was reported to authorities at around 3:20 a.m. this morning. It happened on Hill Road, just east of Meridian Ave., in the Town of Lynn.
The initial investigation indicates that a vehicle was eastbound on Hill Rd. when the operator lost control and entered the south ditch. The vehicle then overturned numerous times as the operator was ejected from the vehicle. The operator was killed instantly and was pronounced dead at the scene by Clark County Coroner Richard Schleifer.
The investigation is continuing by the Clark County Sheriff’s Dept. The operator was the sole person in the vehicle and the name is being withheld pending notification of family. The Granton Fire Department, Granton First Responders and Neillsville Ambulance all responded to the scene. This is the first fatality in Clark County for 2010.
