MAN FACES ANIMAL NEGLECT, CRIMINAL DAMAGE CHARGES

A 20-year-old man is facing animal mistreatment charges after authorities discovered he abandoned five pit bulls in a small Marshfield apartment.
The animals weren’t fed and lived in their own filth.
Zachary Koranda faces five counts of intentional mistreatment of animals and felony criminal damage to property.
The starved animals were found in an apartment in the Parkview Apartment complex.
There were eight puppies, investigators believe three died and were eaten by the mother.
