NEILLSVILLE BOOSTER CLUB HOLDS BOYS BASKETBALL TOURNEY

The Neillsville Booster Club held their annual Youth Boys Basketball Tournament this past Sunday with 24 area teams participating. In the 5th grade division first place was captured by Loyal as they beat Stratford in the final. Cadott finished 3rd and Colby won the Consolation bracket. In 6th grade competition, Neillsville reigned as champion as they crushed Spencer in the final 51-28. Team members include: Michael Dux, Josh Tomlin, Elijiah Eisfeldt, Jacob Kunze, Nic May, Terrel Zurkowski, Payton Bymers, and Jason Kurth. The team was coached by Mark Dux and Bill Tomlin. In 7th grade competition, Neillsville again took home the gold with Pittsville taking second. Coaches are Bill Neville and Matt Peterson and team members include: Josh Opelt, Nathan Peterson, Neal and Nolan Matson, Sam Neville, Devon Opelt, Ryan Ehlen, Aaron Watton, Aaron Ollech and Teren Hensiak. In the 8th grade bracket, Pittsville took first with Neillsville finishing second and Spencer 3rd. The Booster Club would like to thank the many, many volunteers who helped out. All proceeds are used to support youth sports at Neillsville Schools.
