KIND: 'HELL NO' ISN'T A SOLUTION

A Wisconsin Congressman spoke to reporters following President Barack Obama's State of the Union Address last night.

The president asked Republicans with good ideas on health care reform to step forward. Wisconsin Democrat, Congressman Ron Kind, says there ARE areas of agreement.

"The question is: are members interested in working together, or will they merely pursue a strategy of obstruction and 'hell no', knowing it's working out to be a pretty good political strategy right now," Kind says.

Kind says Pres. Obama's emphasis clearly will be on national security, jobs, and getting the economy back on track.

"That, I think, is the essence of what he was laying out. Challenging not only the Congress, but the American people, to work together to find that elusive common ground that I know exists," he says.

Kind commented during a post address conference call with Wisconsin reporters.
