NEILLSVILLE BOYS EXPLODE FOR 50 SECOND HALF POINTS IN WIN OVER O-W

The Neillsville Warrior boys basketball team exploded for 50 second half points last night in beating Owen-Withee 75-59. The Warriors (9-3, 7-2) couldn't hit their shots in the first half and fell behind 32-25 at halftime. Coming out in the second half Neillsville scored more points in the third quarter (27) then they did the whole first half. They followed that up with a 23 point 4th quarter to pull away for the win. The Warriors had 4 players in double figures led by Cain Trunkel with 22 points, Mitchell Erickson 17, Paul Retzlaff 14 and Tyler Ehlen 12. Derek Wegerer of Owen-Withee led all scorers with 23. With Colby's win over Marshfield Columbus last night Neillsville is now just a game back of first place Columbus and Spencer. Neillsville will host Marshfield Columbus on Friday night at the Fieldhouse.
