TASTE OF CLARK CO. COMING IN MARCH

Its being billed as a ‘taste sensation in farm country, for farm country’.
The UW-Extension is busy planning their first Taste of Clark County event for March 20th, at the Loyal Legion.
"(It's) a local foods show that let's everyone know about the local foods we have in Clark County," explains Maria Bendixen of the Extension office. "It's education too, because we'll be looking at the history of these businesses, what they do for Clark County and looking at local foods from a sustainability standpoint."
Organizers are looking for ten vendors for the event.
"Anything produced or grown in the county, then anything processed in the county," she says. "Maple syrup, meats, cheeses (would qualify)."
Would-be vendors have until January 15th to apply. There’s no cost to be a vendor and they’ll receive a video about their business. If you’d like more info, you should call the extension office at 743-5121.
